She was motivated to help others with their mental health through her own experiences as an immigrant observing the struggles of those who could not speak English.

How does your work contribute to better mental health in the Southcoast?
Supervise over 75 staff that do crisis evaluations for over 18 communities.
What inspired you to work to end mental stigma?
I have been in this field for over 20 plus years and started working in the field as I am an immigrant and saw the struggles that non-English speaking immigrants have and wanted to be a voice and advocate.
